Melissa Independent School District Reviews
I love the support that everyone in the community has for the benefit of the students. It doesn't matter if its a volleyball game or a football game, you can expect a large turnout of students and parents. Students and parents drive to every game which can be up to 30 miles. The school is of very good quality in academics and cleanliness, as a new high school was opened this year. The administrators and teachers are always willing to help their students achieve success. They always have open doors throughout the week for tutorials to help students.
Overall it is really pretty good. The cafeteria food isn’t so great but it isn’t complete trash. It offers dual creteit classes and focuses a lot on college readiness when in colors in honors classes.
I liked the small atmosphere which allowed a more personal relationship with teachers and other students.
Melissa is one of the fastest growing schools in the state of Texas. With a small town feel, Everyone seems to know and support eachother, without being too small of a school. It’s not out in the middle of nowhere, so you are still only 5 minutes away from restaurants, movies, shopping, and other sorts of entertainment. The educators are very dedicated and caring.
Good school. Dual credit curriculum put into place without administration not knowing how to run it properly.
