I honestly love my high school, our sports programs are full of award winning strong personalities and our art programs put on better shows in dance, band and theatre, than many others I’ve seen. The teachers here are motivated to actually teach and make a difference in the lives of the students they teach. I have made strong connections with many of my former teachers. Many of my teachers have helped make a difference in my life including helping with my college application process and with improvement of myself as a human being. I have become a very interactive person through the help of many supervisors at Medina valley. The social workers are also very helpful and make it easier and stress free to work through trauma and personal issues. I feel Medina valley has slowly transformed me into a person more like the person I hope to be someday. I am grateful for all that the teachers, staff and students have contributed to the school. Panther Power!
Being in the band and rotc program I have had a very joyous experience along with learning all my essential knowledge in my classes without a hiccup. The best parts of my experience in Medina valley is the traveling and the experiences in the Medina valley band, along with the activities and learning in the afjrotc program. The worst part of my experience in Medina valley is my interactions with some of the school board due to them trying to impose I am breaking a rule without proof or reason. If any change would be made to this school it would have to be the student hand book. If they changed some of the rules in the student handbook students wouldn’t be so retaliatory and bent against fighting such rules.
As an overall student, I had a great experience at Medina Valley throughout my school career. The staff was always caring and put so much effort into the students. The teachers helped me to graduate in the top 10% of my class with their teaching skills. As the school gets bigger, I do see the chance of the safety aspect being put at risk, but speaking from my experience there I would highly recommend the Medina Valley school district to any family.
