McMinn County School District Reviews
The people in this community it’s have been very friendly. The education has been fair. As a student who had lived in 3 different states and attended multiple schools, I did not find the education to be diverse enough. As in, it caters to one level of student until high school. Therefore those who are academically exceptional don’t always get the challenges and attention they need. But all in all, education is what you make it.
This school provides opportunities for the students that need it, but the majority of the student body is unmotivated. Some teachers are attentive to student needs while others sit on their phones. Resources such as laptops are provided to further the skills and education of the student body. The school offers a CTE program to build specific skills students may be interested in such as cosmetology, auto motives, medical, etc. The science teachers provide the best education in the school.
Honestly, it's not the worst but not the best. A lot of things can be worked on and improved. I want to Mcminn County High School and I can say from first-hand experience that it's not great. There are many students who vape and do other such things that shouldn't be done and the staff and administrators are oblivious to most of it. Education can also definitely be improved. There is a small handful of teachers that I think really care if you succeed or fail.
