In my spent in the McMinn County School District, I have faced many challenges. In my elementary years, my teachers were very caring towards and my classmates. They taught the material well, and we always tested well. As I transitioned into high school, scheduling became a major issue. I would choose classes the previous year, giving the guidance counselors the summer to perfect schedules, and I would come back to a completely different one in the fall. It then took them forever to change it, if it was ever changed. They place some kids in filler classes they did not need to graduate. However, they care about their students. They participate in food drives and other things to care for the well being of their students home lives. Curriculum is only challenging if the student chooses to take AP or other higher placement classes. Even then, a 3.0 is not difficult to attain. Overall, they have done well in most aspects, but for the ones they do not, there are major consequences.
