McLean Independent School District Reviews
McLean ISD is a such a small and wonderful school. By being small, you get the one-on-one time with the teachers, and you'll get the help you need whenever you need it. I've been at McLean for most of my life, and even when I left for 2 years, I wanted to come back. Academically, it can be a challenge, and those challenges can and will prepare kids for college. It's easy to get good, high grades by doing your work and being involved. I never had much of a problem at this school, and I'm very glad I had the opportunity to attend a great school with great kids and teachers.
McLean ISD is a small school. All small schools have their advantages and disadvantages. I liked how much more understanding and helpful teachers and administration is. They all know who you are personally your not just some student. One disadvantage was the facilities. For example, there is not a actual track it is simply dirt.
A very small school, heavily underfunded, had very few after school activities (almost exclusively sports) and no clubs or band, very obsessed with sports over academics, almost exclusively white/hispanic. Not sure where the B in diversity comes in. I never had a teacher that wasn't white.
