Maynard School District Reviews
Overall I am glad that I attend Maynard school district. I like that it is a small school with 500 kids rather than a school with 2,000 + kids. I like that in this school, everyone knows everyone and their family. I like having classes with 20 or less kids in it because it is easier to ask a teacher for help. It is also easier for a teacher to notice if a kid is having a bad day because the kids are right infront of them. I also really like that they offer concurrent credit classes online with Black River Technical College. I have been able to take 9 college classes because of that. I enjoy my school because of how much the teachers and administration here care. If they notice that you are having a bad day then they try to help you with whatever you are going through. I am thankful to have gone to this school for 13 years.
I was a part of the Maynard School District from kindergarten to my senior year. I would say it's certainly unique--my class had about forty kids in it total, and the campus was so small that everyone knew or knew of one another. The small-school environment left room for more focus on the students though. For my entire career there, I always felt as if the teachers genuinely cared about the education of every student, and that was shown through their attentiveness, patience, and dedication to my own growth. I know the school isn't very well-funded, so there is a limit to the classes they can offer, but in recent years they have added more distance education classes to introduce more diversity into the curriculum. Overall, I truly enjoyed my years at Maynard. The memories of my teen angst years have melted away and I'm left with the warm embrace of appreciation I felt for each of my teachers.
