Matawan has provided a nurturing outlet for me to grow as both an academic and human. Accademically, I was challenged with Advanced Placement courses as well as "college-like teachers." Due to these attributes, I now feel ready to excel in college due to the skill set I have adapted from Matawan. In addition, I was able to grow as a person, because of the chances I was given to find/establish a community. WIth a variety of clubs and activities to join, I was able to do what I loved outside of school (ex: volunteering, art, academics) as well as meet others who felt the same. This allows me to create life-long friends and relationships.
My school has brought me so many opportunities. Cheer and volleyball were my favorite sports activity. Helping out the special needs kids also were a bonus!
During my time here I met such wonderful friends that I still talk to. I had lots of teachers I adored, teachers that made me feel accepted and loved. Teachers gave me the actual motivation to get my grades straight.
