Manheim Township School District Reviews
I enjoy the academic challenges that set me apart from other students in other school districts. I would like our school to inform us on different scholarship opportunities or programs abroad. I am aware that other schools in my discrict have opportunities to observe surgeries at local hospitals or they have guest speakers that inform them on different programs they can travel with to gain a more profound understanding of other cultures. Manheim Townhsip is a very rigorous school district that thrives academically, and is constantly challenging its pupils. The sports teams at Manheim Township are all extremely competitive, and perform very well. My favorite thing about Manheim Township are the school events such as friday night football games and homecoming. I love attending these events with my friends, and I always get excited to spend time with my class!
Manheim Township School District overall was a great school district. Growing up in the district, their elementary schools all had tight nit neighborhood communities. Being the first class in the new intermediate building was a great experience, being around a lot of new technology... Then it was the outdated middle school, which coming from a brand new building was a tough adjustment. The district has responded to this outdated building, and is in the process of building a new Middle School, which causes crazy parking problems for MS staff along with HS staff and students. The High School is a couple of ears old but is in great condition, as their are numerous janitors and support staff that help keep it clean, and highly functional. Overall MTSD is a good district.
I am an alum from Manheim Township School District. A majority of the classes I took were honors or AP. These classes prepared me well for college and I am doing excellently at my college. However, there is a large disconnect at Manheim Township between students, teachers, and the administration. Students rarely see or hear from the administration unless in trouble. There is no true relationship formed between students and school's faculty so things remain fairly impersonal.
