Magoffin County Public Schools Reviews

Going to Magoffin County Public schools had its perks and downfalls. The district is a really close-knit family. Everyone knows each other which is great. The downfall of going to school in the district is that some schools don't have all the necessary resources to be %100. The schools were budgeted and only certain programs, like the basketball and football teams, got a majority of the funds. When I graduated though it was such a great experience. Everyone you grew up with for 12 years are finally going separate ways, and we all came together and had such a great senior year. Even though there were downfalls, I would definitely go back again.

Magoffin county public schools are the best. I have lived in Magoffin county my entire life. The student body is a family- when one is down, the rest is there to lift them back up. We lost a student in an accident on May 7th. The schools in our district held a moment of silence the Monday after the crash in her honor, and the new high school is even holding the funeral in the gymnasium. Additionally, they helped raise over 500 dollars in two days due to the students donating. At lunch time, the advisors come around to students' tables and ask how their days are going. Magoffin county may be small, but the hearts of the community and student body are large.
the teachers are great with their students, they take the time to teach you as an individual instead of skipping over you if you don't understand a subject. The staff are wonderful and very helpful. The coaches try to make every game fun and enjoyable for all players. There are many clubs to join that are academic based and some based off personal preference.
