I first came to the Magnolia School District in sixth grade. I transferred from a small, community based school. Academically, I fell behind because I didn't receive the hands on mentoring that I received from my previous school. Bullying is a major issue throughout the school district. Power determines how students are considered. The children of doctors, and school board members are favored over average students.

Magnolia School District is a place where "All Belong, All Learn, All Succeed". The environment of the schools are safe and a place where everyone can be accepted as themselves. Everyone who attends the school have great school spirit and support in all events. The school has an excellent band and choir program along with many other programs and clubs. I would encourage any parent to send their child to this school district because they will enjoy their school's experience as well as gain a brilliant education.
I like the overall high school experience at MHS. The administration is friendly, some of the teachers teach extremely well, the sports tend to do well during games, and there are many activities and clubs available that allow students to get involved. There cameras and officers make the campus feel safe. I'd like to see the dress code violation consequences be less severe than they are right now. Other than that, there's nothing I'd drastically want changed.
