Madison Public Schools Reviews
We have been very happy with the schools in Madison - from the crossing guards that know all the kids names to our school principal who seems to be everywhere at once, the school feels like a true family that cares about your child and wants them to succeed. The enrichment offerings are wonderful, the special reading programs are great for students that need that extra push. I would like to see less snacks and "junk" in the lunch room, and better meal options, but with the addition of the village fresh option they seem to be working on it. But I do believe it could use some extra help!
The teachers are amazing! The principal is really involved. My children are learning and love to go to school. There's always opportunities for parents to get involved. The buildings are in very good repair. My son with learning differences gets so much help everyday. The lunches are healthy. My kids play several sports and they have amazing coaches and plenty of equipment and fields
The students and staff are kind at Madison High School. An area that needs improvement is the Special Services Department. Students with special needs should be included more with their peers. Also, those students need to be provided with an individualized program. One size fits all leaves some more able students unchallenged.
