I transferred from being home-schooled to attending Madison Consolidated Schools during my Junior year of high school. The staff and head department at MCHS all worked and went out of their way to help make the process of transferring as quick and painless as possible. I felt very welcome right from the start.
The teachers truly cared about my education, were passionate, and each worked to set aside extra time to help students.
The AP courses and the partnership with the local Ivy Tech college helps students to be prepared for college academics while also allowing them to accumulate a years' worth of college credits by graduation.
Madison is a welcoming community and the town has many historical and artistic aspects/events the school encourages its students to check out. There are so many ways to get plugged in; this school is definitely worth a visit!

Madison Consolidated High School has been a place for me, and my peers, to grow and expand our knowledge throughout our teen years. I have enjoyed my experience at my school and have learned so much from my amazing teachers and professors that I would not have received if I had pursued my education anywhere else. I was pushed to the best of my ability, as my teachers would not have settled for less.
MCHS does have a slight issue with the underage substance abuse and I, personally, would like to see a change with that subject. I expect the administrative staff to continue working on this problem in our school district.
Madison Consolidated High School has a great AP/dual credit program, great teachers (for the most part), and plenty of extracurricular activities. The partnership between Madison and Ivy Tech really helps students get ahead when it comes to college. Madison has a successful fine arts programs (theatre, marching band). The teachers really care about their students and do their best to be available.
