Madison Community Unit School District No. 12 Reviews
I have been attending Madison CUSD 12 since Pre-K, and I've seen many changes happen without the school district. While the school is small it feels like a community, I have been going to school with the same people since head-start. Sometimes that's comforting, other times it's as if you get tired of seeing the same thing. Madison excels at many things such as sports and some academic things but just like anything it lacks certain things.
My overall experience in the district wasn’t entirely bad, but it could’ve been way better. I’ve gotten to attend all the schools before they were merged. The food is terrible. Sometimes it may appear to be uncooked. The district is not at all diverse. It’s a predominately African American area, although there are a few Caucasian and Hispanic residents. When it comes to preparing for college, the district could improve. They’re not doing a terrible job, but it could be better.
