Macon R-1 offers dual credits for college, A+ program and more. Sports include football, basketball, baseball, softball, cheerleading and golf. The music program is top notch; the band is the best around. Game nights are alot of fun and provide a safe environment. Macon R-1 also has a School Resource Officer and has made improvements to the overall safety of the school buildings. A new elementary addition was completed this past summer and another building is being completed now.

I like the teachers that really prepare you for college. The teachers that do this provide a stepping stone in between high school and college so that the transition might be easier. However, there are several teachers who do not do this. These teachers in the past have poorly prepared me for the next level of classes let alone college.
I enjoyed all of the memories that were made here and the friendly faces seen around the halls. Macon is a safe environment but also allows for fun and games when needed. The facilities are amazing. All of the ball fields are well maintained and the coaches are great! Our teams also tend to be very competitive and are very competitive players.
