Through my 13 years in the MCUSD185 district, I noticed a steady decline in the quality of schooling, some of which can be blamed on the lack of funding the district receives. The district lacks strong leadership and often allows certain important issues to be brushed under the rug or forgotten about. Many students in the district do what they need to do to get to graduation, but few have a genuine passion for learning. Though I am thankful for my time spent within MCUSD185, I know there are many other districts where I could have earned a higher quality education.
People give Macomb so much hate just because it is a "community college." Macomb is a great school! The buildings and facilities are all new, teachers are helpful and kind, and they offer great services for academic advising and counseling. Go to Macomb, save money, and get a great education!!
Macomb is a big school. A lot of the teachers are involved with the clubs or sports. They love teaching their subject and will help you. Some teachers are great at their subject but they don’t know how to explain things to students, unless it is one on one. The administration is willing to help students out on anything. You can ask them a question and they will help you find an answer or help you in the best way possible.
