I did not face any problems or issues with my time in Mabank, I went through many changes in this small town and I never faced any discrimination or any sort of bullying. The teacher has probably been my favorite part of the school, and how much pride the students have in their school. I had nothing but professional and excellent teachers, whose performance was superb. My favorite teachers would have to be, officer Goode, Ms. LaNier, and Doctor Morgan. These excellent teachers influenced my life in the best way possible when it came to school or just life itself.
It’s very hard to rate Mabank High School because It’s the only high school I have attended. I will therefore go over obvious good things and bad things. To start off on the good things, our school has a significant amount resources. I recently just go back from an 850 dollar debate camp that was completely paid for by my school. 850 dollars is a lot of money and I’m very grateful for the opportunity to attend that camp as some kids aren’t so lucky. Onto the negative things, the first thing that had been plaguing my school since the late 90’s is we only give teachers a 1 year contract meaning our teachers change a lot. Also our school waits until May to let the teachers know if they are rehired or not.
This is a very good school. They have some very good teachers but a lot of them aren't really qualified. Additionally, the food isn't very good, but they try their hardest. Also, the teachers and principals all are very good at making sure that their students are college ready by seeing if they have either done the TSI or passed a Dual-Credit Class or an AP Test, or something of those sorts.
