My experience at Lynn Public Schools was very good! I met amazing teachers, counselors, and peers that have inspired me everyday! I was academically challenged but also supported. The only thing I would change is the way different type of students are supported! Having the faculty learn what intersectionality is and how it affects every student at our school is very important! In a city filled with a great diversity in their schools, it is important to acknowledge the different struggles every student goes through. Sometimes the traditional school system, rather limits a student than helps them succeed.
Being a parent to a child with specific learning difficulties, I find that there was very little help in the way that needed to be taught. Most of the teachers that do work within the system are very devoted to their students. Heck, they even spend their funds to enhance the students' ability to shine
. Should you have a child with (SPECIFIC)special needs, then the Lynn Public School System isn't for your child! Just telling it like it is~

The district is very under staffed, and under budgeted. We have had wholes in our callrooms walls, floors, and ceilings. There have been a number of animals there as well. The teachers are spread so thin that they barely have any time for their students outside of scheduled classroom time.
