Lyle school is a great school. But if your a middle schooler the teachers treat you horribly. The teachers always say they are gonna like us better as high schoolers. Almost everything fun in the school goes torwards high schoolers. The staff is overly all gradism. The electives are very limited, yet being in a small school I get that. But atleast have more options torwards real life skills and situations. Overly all the school is great to be in but I feel that this small school is all about the sports and less about the students and the learning skills we need to learn. One last thing I noticed. The teachers let all the cool kids get away with everything, they can sware at the teachers without even getting in trouble just because of the plan they have to behave. When all the good kids get in trouble for doing one thing wrong. This school needs to be more invloved in the kids lives and actually know what goes on in the classes and not on the courts.
I've been at this school for 2 years. I've made a couple great friends. I'm not impressed at this school. When I walk down the hallways I feel judged. The staff are rude and won't give you a time of day unless you beg to be heard. This school is all about sports and less about arts and theatre. The art supplies are bought by the teacher. Sport supplies are provided by the school. This isn't giving everyone an opportunity to do what they love. Lyle staff are too focused on making themselves look good rather than them actually being helpful. Over my 2 years I've seen that this school is way to strict. There is so much pressure on us students to do good. Nothing gets resolved when there is bullying. Teachers and the staff in the office act so immature for adults. Over all Lyle is one of the worst school I've been too.
This school is good in academics, and at helping children when they need help. It has some issues with the air or heat at points but they are working on it. The staff here try all they can do to help your kids learn best they can some will try to make learning fun for the kids, that does it their attention.
