Very close, family-like community/district. Old schools, underfunded, needs remodeling. Teachers and staff are more focused on seeing kids graduate then helping kids learn. Although, a select few teachers actually have the interest of students education in mind and do their job wonderfully.

I am currently a junior at Lumberton High School and after being in this school district for the past eleven years, I can say with confidence that the teachers and staff truly do care about their students and their well-being. They always strive to encourage excellence and make it their top priority to prepare us for college and life after high school.
The school is great, but it severely lacks racial diversity because of the location it's at. We have extremely smart teachers that want to prepare us for college and see us successful, along with many interesting clubs that encourage student involvement. The school also invested a lot of time and money into making sure the campus is secure.
