I am going into my freshman year of high school, and my experience with the Los Banos Unified School District has been excellent. Reasons for this is because of faculty members and staff. They have all been very helpful and friendly to me and others. However, I have had a few run-ins with some staff that just weren’t the best. The principal when I was in sixth grade wasn’t the best. There were also times where I experienced unresolved bullying. Nonetheless, that ended once I entered Junior High School. I did engage in the L.E.A.P. after school program. There are members there that have been very interested in helping me with my schooling, even now. They still ask how I am doing or if I need anything academically. As I entered junior high, I participated in the guard programs. The instructors were always there for everyone in the program and were willing to listen to anything the students had to say. My overall experience with Los Banos Unified School District has been positive.

Los Banos seems to be behind in many aspects including college readiness, resources for students and parents. Communication is poor between counselors and their students. There isn't enough counselors to provide resources and guidance to students.
