At my time in Lorena I enjoyed the relationships I was able to build with many of my teachers and coaches. I could ask for a recommendation from many of them and they would write me one in a heartbeat. It is a very tight knit community and family atmosphere will small class sizes.Over all Lorena is a good school with many passionate teachers and high expectations. I was able to participate in many areas of the school due to the smaller size, which would not have been possible at a larger district. However, most of my conflicts I had stemmed from me being so involved. I had instances where teachers and coaches were less flexible if it was not there sport of club. As well, if there was a issue that required administrative assistance most of the time it was ignored. This is partially due to the fact that the school board is really oppressive on administrative personnel. This can cause problems at times especially if students want to have a say in their school experience.

As far as my experience at LISD over the past thirteen years goes, I have never felt more welcomed into a community of teachers, faculty and students who are so passionate about education. I was poured into every day of my academic career not only with knowledge but with compassion knowing that my teachers truly cared for me. If I could change a single thing about Lorena ISD as a whole, I would change how we learn because nowadays so many schools even in the Central Texas area have switched to technology (i.e. iPads) as a way of integrating education. Using technology in the classroom in this era and having that type of interaction is a must because there is always something new and improved coming out technologically that cannot necessarily be brought to a student by a textbook.
I would love for the faculty to show more interest in all students. Also, pay more attention to other extracurricular activities such as; art, theater, band, or language studies. Their focus is on sports and they waste a lot of the budget on those departments and neglect other creative avenues. It's not an inclusive environment for all students.
