Longview School District Reviews
My experience with Longview School District has been great! I feel very safe and comfortable in my school, thanks to friendly staff and classmates. The high schools are very inclusive when it comes to sports and clubs, both high schools even join together for some clubs so it is not made into a competition. I would like to see more evaluation in the classrooms more frequently to ensure the students are getting their times worth in the classroom to eliminate any wasted time by a teacher who may get distracted easily.
Throughout my whole life kindergarten through Sophomore year I've always attended schools within the Longview School District. I remember as a little kid I would go to summer clubs the school district would form, such as cooking classes, karate classes, photography classes, art classes and many more for all ages. I also remember eating free lunches in the summer that the district would provide. During this pandemic, the Longview School District is distributing FREE school lunches to kids whos main meals are during school, I think that is really thoughtful of them for the kids who need meals and just shows how much our school district cares about its kids.
I've been here at the Longview School District my whole life and I've never had any problems. Elementary was great, the teachers would go in depth with our learning and make it fun for us at that age. This continues through Middle School as well. The teachers are willing to stay after school and help students that are struggling and need help. I think that is what is great, the amount of support the teacher gives to students and to truly believe in them. What has been on the rise here is the opportunities of classes available to take and this opens our opportunities for college and pathways for us.
