Some of the teachers have become very easy-going and have even started caring less about what they teach and how they teach it. The school tardy policies and bathroom policies are also outrageous and makes it difficult for girls in situation where their menstrual cycles may prolong the time it takes to use the restroom. The school should invest in teachers who actually have experience teaching and know how to communicate with their students. But it is not a bad school, a select few of my teachers have taught me many things I hope to carry on through life.
What I liked about Liberty High was the dedicated teachers I had who cared about their students, the opportunities for students to participate in performing arts, clubs, or sports, the amount of high quality art courses, and the diversity of students on campus. Although I have heard stories of poor teachers from peers, I was lucky enough to mostly have teachers who were gracious and patient with me. And because of them, my experiences at Liberty were made so much better. What I would change, is for teachers/ the school to implement consequences for students who engage in hateful speech. It's a day to day basis that I hear students use slurs, make fun of other students, make inappropriate jokes regarding different races or the Queer community. And from my perspective, no one seems to be trying to do anything.
The learning experience was good but there were a few major flaws that I can point out. The teachers were very lax even when they most likely knew about things that happened at the school, such as breaking the bathroom sinks or toilets full of trash... etc. They resorted to petty things like shutting bathrooms during classes, which made sense but even during lunch I and many others were not able to access bathrooms. That's not the main point, the main point is they never addressed the students or anything like that, all they did was make other students lives uncomfortable just so they don't have to call and assembly
