There was no shortage of opportunities in this school district! I was thoroughly helped through every stage of high school from entering in as a freshman, to applying for colleges as a senior. The potential to succeed academically was through the roof, as there were endless resources and achievements to attain. The extra curricular activities including sports, clubs, organizations, programs, and services were more than enough to fill up a resume. From building a resume, to writing recommendation letters, to finding jobs, to pursuing goals, making grades, or winning awards, the leaders and teachers in this district were willing to help, as they constantly aimed to make each and every student's success possible.

I moved from a different state to Lexington, and went here for 2 years. It was a drastic change, but it was good! Everyone was so welcoming and helped me whenever I needed it. All of the teachers and faculty were so nice and really showed that they cared. You can tell that they genuinely love their jobs. The only thing that I'd change would be the school building itself. It's getting pretty old now, so I feel like there needs to be some work such as new bathrooms or new carpet. Despite that, all in all I had an amazing experience at Lexington. I couldn't have asked for a better high school experience. All of the opportunities that were given to me were unbelievable, and I am so thankful.
Overall, my high school experience has been pleasant and memorable due to not only the high quality of academics at LHS but also the teacher-student relationships I have built throughout my years there. There is always chances to take challenging classes taught by intelligent teachers which I enjoy. I was able to meet new people and try new activities because of the many opportunities for involvement at LHS. On the contrary, sometimes I personally feel that the administrators try to be involved too much and end up turning students away from them. Also, I felt that the set up of our scheduling was not always ideal for many reasons. Even with these few minor disadvantages that I feel about my school, I still believe that it is a great place for me to grow up and learn about not only academics but life; I am grateful to have been able to have such an amazing high school experience because of Lexington School District 1.
