Rating 3.6 out of 5 5 reviews
My overall experience in the leonia school district was a numeral rating of 7/10. I loved the new renovations and modern looking classrooms they put in and all the extra special care they put into making the exterior of the school shine! However, with all the good there is bad.... one thing the district failed to do was treat all the sports at LHS the same. As someone who played JV golf for one year and Varsity golf for 1 year it’s a shame that our sport was treated differently in fundraising, coaching and award wise.
Great teachers, great academics, okay food choices, good sports, good music department, and good opportunities.
I loved the diversity and many opportunities the Leonia School District offered me. As a gay woman, I always felt accepted and safe at school. During high school, I was lucky enough to be able to attend many extra curricular activities such as trips with Leonia's Junior Statesmen of America chapter, be the captain of the softball team, participate in year round athletics, and be the Editor in Chief of the school yearbook as an independent study my senior year.
