I had three girls attend Ledyard Public Schools from 2001-2016. Overall they were blessed with great teachers, good libraries, and great school spirit. Two girls did swim and one fencing for 4 years at Ledyard High School (LHS). Sarah was in chorus and Spanish classes. We saw many parents at Open House, Parent-Teacher conferences, and sporting events. Bekah with other alumni cheered on the fencing team when home from college. LHS has a good variety of sports, music (choral and instruments groups), and many clubs with volunteer opportunities. The guidance dept. helped promote college scholarships. Bekah graduated in 2016; awarded 5 scholarships for college. She is doing well in her freshman year at Gordon College.

LHS is nice, but if there's a bullying problem, they don't help out. They complain that none of their students go to the administration for help, yet when you reach out to them finally asking for help, they don't!
It is a great school, and the teachers are always available for helping their students. Academics is a priority, and Ledyard is known for challenging their students. The school does a great job to ready students for life after high school.
