Leavenworth Unified School District Reviews
Leavenworth High school is a place like no other. With its long history, being the first public school Kansas, almost every one there seems to respect and acknowledge the importance in the history of the state. Along with this, it is also a military town. This means that constantly students from all over the world are rotating through and experiencing what it means to be a Pioneer at Leavenworth High School. This just adds to the schools already diverse student body, making the school a very accepting and welcoming place, as my classmates are always from all over. At the end of the day, Leavenworth High School provides a very unique experience for high schoolers, one that they will leave with a very good sense of understanding and outlook on life.
I think personally about the Leavenworth unified school district is that there is a lot of opportunities out there to do something for your future, there are a lot of classes or honor classes, clubs for your interests, good people to talk to sometimes depending on who, but most importantly the teachers that are always out there to help they always help what is best about any school and I'm grateful to be a pioneer forever!
I have spent my K-12 in the Leavenworth Unified School District and it has overall been an excellent experience. Teachers are very involved and care about teaching and improving their students. One down side is that the Administration doesn't always have the backs of their teachers and many teachers move to different school districts. Despite some difficulties there are still tons of teachers that stay and build the crucial bond with students. Although some think Leavenworth is "trashy" or "ghetto" because it doesn't have the most money, ultimately it is more diverse which opens the students up to the real world. Leavenworth has the military base which brings in and out a fluctuation of different student. Despite the diverse back grounds that these students come from at the end of the day they are able to all come together as Leavenworth Pioneers and they are proud of it. Yes, I didn't give it a five star because there is always room for improvement.
