Laurens is small, so everyone can take part in any of their interests. It does have small town thinking at times, and fewer opportunities than larger scale schools.
I love almost everything about LCS! The small size and community values are amazing. I would like to see the administration more open to LGBTQ issues. They will not allow a Pride club or a GSA. Very frustrating in an otherwise great school.
Laurens had a wonderful set of college electives that were available through herkimer county community College. Staff was alway exceedingly helpful and class sizes numbering less than 20 students always ensured individualized attention. The school has always been successful in preparing students for moving into college.
