Lathrop R-II School District Reviews
I love the small town feel of Lathrop High School, and the people here are more than welcoming. Unlike most schools, we have few "cliques" if any. Most students here are all friends that have been going to school together for years. Although I was once a newbie at Lathrop myself, and making friends was very easy, given it's almost impossible to go a second without someone talking to you about how you like the school, or what sports you play. This is the place where everyone knows everyone, and everyone is your friend.
Absolutely a joke!! As a former student I can say that with confidence. If you aren’t an athlete you can expect to be left in the dirt. However, if you ARE an athlete you will get the royal treatment. They have a JOKE they call a grade policy to play in a sport. Howver, if you’re in a sport, you decide you don’t want to do your work they will ASSIGN a special needs teacher to go with you to every class and DO your homework for you. Ridiculous. It’s shameful and quite frankly, I don’t know how the school district hasn’t gotten reprimanded for it yet.
