Lancaster City Schools is the place to be. The administration and staff make it a place that students want to go to. They have so many different programs and clubs. From Drama to Band and from cosmetology to criminal justice. There is a place for everyone to get involved. The best part of it all is that the students are involved with almost everything. Most of the clubs are student led. Student Council is the voice of the school when it comes to planing events such as dances or spirit weeks. Although there are many options to choose from, the students do not have to just choose one. A student is able to be involved in whatever they like as long as their schedules can handle it. The only downfall to Lancaster is that the buildings are a lot older than most. This causes for hot classrooms in the warmer months of the year. This problem is slowly solving itself with the new building starting to be under construction. Overall Lancaster is amazing.

Lancaster City Schools are above average on most things. They have 5 new elementary schools and 2 new middle schools. Sadly, as a result from the pandemic, classrooms sat empty and despite online learning, not all students were able to connect with the internet, and not all teachers made themselves available enough. Not all students do well with online learning.
Lancaster High School is essentially a great school with an abundant amount of opportunities. If you go to Lancaster High School, the possibilities are endless. There are multiples clubs such as Spanish club, book club, Greek mythology, and just about anything you could possibly be interested in. Along with multiple clubs, there are wonderful career technical learning opportunities through the Stanberry Career Technical school. For example, I am currently a senior in the Health Tech Prep program, and I have gotten an overwhelming amount of opportunities that have improved my life. Lancaster High School provides students with Ipads, which is a huge step to education at your fingertips. Overall, Lancaster City Schools are truly excellent, and as the high school slogan goes, it truly is "The Place To Be"!
