This school offers a variety of career readiness programs, allowing it's students to pursue college interests by taking advanced courses in high school. This program has allowed many students to find their passion or to avoid what would otherwise have been a costly career/college choice decision.
The school could do better by providing more opportunities to students not within this system.
Over it is a great school, and so many people are successful here!

Lancaster’s music department is amazing! Many opportunities in Lancaster Central School District. Problems: class sizes too big, District doesn’t spend enough money on each student, student body too large. School should be split Lancaster North and Lancaster South.
As a student at Lancaster High School for nearly two years now, I've been able to see the ups and downs of the high school experience here. Personally, I'm involved in sports, an academy, and multiple extracurriculars that have allowed me to form a solid friend group around me. One issue with that is that there are many students who aren't a part of activities that allow them to expand their horizons, and it can be seen when trying to find a group of people to stick around. The programs offered at the school can be extremely beneficial to those who try them out, but you have to be willing to put yourself out there first.
