My experience was great! As small rural community, it has a close knit family feeling. The teachers as be administration strive to put every student first.

Lamesa High School was a very good school for a small town. The community was nice and very supportive of extracurricular activities. The school is being renovated right now, the District is doing a good job keeping up with modern times.
Lamesa ISD was a good experience for me. I was able to earn college credits to get started in my college career. I was very involved in sports. I received A scholarship through my FFA participation. I graduated Cum Laude and in the top 10 of my class. Lamesa ISD provides their students the opportunity to be successful. They struggle with getting and maintaining quality teachers at all levels and I feel that is what they need to work on. I pushed myself to do good but I would have liked to be challenged a bit more there. Overall it gave me a good educational foundation and I am thankful to all of my teachers for helping me succeed while at Lamesa ISD.
