Lakeside School District is a wonderful example of doing public school right! So many opportunities for students to be involved; academics to sports, art to music, travel and more. We have been happy to see our kids thrive in this educational space in our community.
Lakeside is focused on preparing their students for the real world. There still needs improvement in teaching important life skills to their students and adding classes that will benefit them. The teachers and faculty are great in interacting with their students with the exception that there are some teachers who do not live up to this standard. Overall the school is great environment for students to learn and communicate with other fellow students as well as further their opportunities for success.
I absolutely love Lakeside! There are so many options when it comes to lunches and classes. This year they are going to more project based learning (having students do projects and assignments). The only thing I would like to see change is the parking situation. There are currently almost twice as many drivers that park on campus than there are parking spots.
