Lakeshore School District Reviews
Lakeshore Public Schools academic program is top notch! They have prepared me for my next step as a college athlete. Our athletic department is also top notch. We have numerous State Championships, Regional and District titles in all sports.
Lakeshore is a welcoming environment for new students. Extra-curriculars are available for a variety of interests. Teachers are accessible and academics are as rigorous as your student chooses. CTE programs are valued and invested in by not only the district, but the community. The Lakeshore Excellence Foundation is highly supportive of staff and students. The Kohn Family has donated numerous athletic fields giving our student athletes some of the very best competitive experiences in the area. Whether your student is pursuing a trade or a college degree, there are classes and programs to explore. Lakeshore Marching Band has been a state champion for the past 4 years, and the advanced choral ensembles have received the highest ratings for several years.
Overall, Lakeshore High school has been a fairly good experience for me. However, if you are considered the "star popular athlete" they will treat you differently especially if you bully kids that have less than you. Also, they treat people of variating sizes extremely different from each other. In most cases, they dress code the wrong people and don't care about anyone else unless you have money, you're an athlete, or your parents are somehow involved within the school. I thankfully have had no problems over the years but I know a few people that have.
