The best part about my experience at Lakeshore High School was participating in the dance program that is offered. I took part in it all four years of my high school career, and participated in every level offered (beginning, intermediate, and advanced dance). Through this program not only did I take part in an a great mode of exercise, but I learned discipline, explored my own creativity, and made life-long friends (whom I am still close with years after graduating). Taking part in dance was truly the best part of my day during my high school years.
Moving forward, I would like to see Lakeshore be more welcoming to its LGBTQ+ students. They have begun to make great steps, but more can definitely be done beyond making a non-gender restroom. A good idea would be to have staff and teachers take a course (or even offer reading material) that could educate faculty on their LGBTQ+ students and how to better their relationships with them.

I have been attending Lakeshore Public Schools since my kindergarden class in 2008. I will be graduating in 2021 as a senior at Lakeshore High School. My personal High School experiance has been amazing. Lakeshore does a great job of hiring teachers who really care about students and their acedemics and spend lots of time through the year to boost the morale of students.
At Lakeshore, student involvement is very high and many pep events are student lead. Teachers and parents are very involved with students and do a great job helping students through their school career. Along with coaches and mentors, the entire staff and volunteers at Lakeshore help make it a successful district with smart students. My life would be different if it were not for the experiances I have had from my time at Lakeshore.

Lakeshore's school district is such a great family type atmosphere. The environment that students are put into is perfect. Students are given high quality resources for learning and for athletics at such a young age. The best part of it, is we do not have to live in a big populated area where things are expected to be nice to have things that are nice. Stevensville is a small town and the fact that our athletic facilities are one of the nicest in the state of Michigan says a lot about who we are. Lakeshore is a hard working community that earns everything they put into it. Lakeshore schools also have opportunites for exxceling students to take college credit courses, which is a great opportunity. Weather it be AP courses in the high school. Or students have the option to take college courses at Lake Michigan College which is all paid for by Lakeshore.
