Amazing support, teachers, classmates. I go here it is a great school, in an amazing community. White privelidged when it comes to the college application process. After high school, most of the class go to universities. There’s a place for everyone here.
The BEST (prep) public high school on the north shore! The atmosphere aligns with most private schools in terms of academic performance, teacher to student ratio 12:1 and the facilities offer a myriad of technology learning resourcing that is state of the art with updated media paired with hands on teaching availability. We transferred our 2 children from private schools because the return value on their educational experience is far better at LFHS and the college readiness offered is more advanced than most private schools in Chicago land. Plus it's one of the most beautiful High School campuses in in the US!
It was fine. People tend to be rich, white, cliquey, and judgmental. The teachers are fine and other than somewhat bungling covid and other things, the administration is also fine. Your kid will learn as much as they feel like learning here.
