Lake County School District Reviews
What I like about Lake Couny School District is that they value kids education a lot. They try to connect and reach out to most every student. I feel they do not help upperclassmen with college as much as I'd like to see. The school atmosphere and food is good for the most part, I would say it's average for a high school. The district doesn't value sports as much as they should, even though it's hard to find great coaches, it hurts the kids and envolvement.
I enjoyed this quick and easy chance to win a scholarship. This was a great way to broaden my prospects.
Lake County is a rural area with a relatively small population. The residents aren't incredibly diverse and most of them have lived in Lakeview for the majority of their lives. I began at Lakeview high school at the beginning of my senior year and, being an LGBT minority, was not welcomed with open arms. I spent the majority of that year watching bullying being shrugged off because "boys will be be boys." Even when the evidence was undeniable and there had been witnesses aplenty, I and many others felt that the Lake County School District staff exhibited obvious neglect.
