I graduated in 2016 from La Vega High School, and attended La Vega from k-12! I must say the school is a great place for a kid.. I graduated top 5% of my class, and the teachers there are a great help! In high school they offer dual credit classes and now even give freshmen the option to take college classes all throughout their high school experience so they may graduate with an associates degree! It gets no better than that! With a wonderful woman like Dr. Shields our superintendent standing in front of us, nothing can go wrong! GO PIRATES GO

My experience at La Vega has been an average one. What I like about La Vega is that we have some of the best teachers that try their best to make us better students. One thing I hope they would change is to give us a longer lunch. We have 30 minutes and by the time we receive our food it’s time to go, do a longer lunch would be very much appreciated.
I like how dual credit is available to the students for free. As a dual credit student I am able to get a college education at no cost. La Vega also has AVID which has prepared me for college. Our college counselor has helped tremendously, along with CIS and Project Link.
