I like how caring the teachers are in the La Center School District. They truly value our education and help us to achieve our goals. Our teachers develop good relationships with us, and I feel that especially in high school, they treat us with honesty, care, and kindness. One thing that could be improved in the La Center School District is teacher accountability. I have had a few teachers that take awhile to grade work, and it does not seem fair that I take a lot of time to complete my work but it takes a long time (sometimes months) to be graded.

Both elementary and middle school have been pretty good for my kiddos. They have been proactive about my 8th graders 504 plan. The office staff interacts with him positively several times a day. He has had some negative situations with other kids that have been blown off (not all of them). But once I brought attention to this, they were handled. My daughter has enjoyed Kindy & 1st so far. Her teachers have done great at weekly communication. My biggest problems are that as the student population has been growing the physical school has just added portable buildings (maybe should consider building a new middle school), and the school lunches seem to be getting worse each year.
La Center School District is one of the worst districts in Washington. Sadly, it goes with the best town.
