Kodiak Island Borough School District Reviews

3 reviews
Kodiak Island Brough District is very involved in the life of the students. They are truly passionate into supporting their students regarding all of their goals and aspirations. It was very clear that every stage and obstacles that were occurring were not going to be accomplished alone. As we are located on a small island, we have very limited opportunities and I'd love to see more options to explore regarding our life's path for the future.

Over all, Okay. The teachers try, the students are good. I sometimes take issue with policies. My kids experienced some bullying and don't feel like it was dealt with properly and there exist very few preventative measures.
KIBSD really is not very great. Maybe only Kodiak city schools, but the rural schools get the sh** end of the stick. When I was in High School the only thing that kept me from giving up was that I knew what i could do when I got out.
