As the parent of a son with ASD/ADHD, I could not have asked for a better environment for my son to learn, grow, and thrive! Each of his schools has been amazing and exceeded my expectations! I love the district and moved here exclusively for the education. I'll stay because I can't imagine living anywhere else!
Review Kirkwood School District
My experience in the Kirkwood School district was better than I gave credit for originally. The education is superb if you take advantage of the oppertunities around you. The staff all care about their students especially the one's who care about their own futures. If you start to fall behind in a subject teachers and counselors try their best to boost your understanding. There are so many extra curricular activities to choose there is no reason a student shouldn't be involved. My only suggestion for them would be to not let students who don't take advantage of all these perks slip through the cracks there are so many who could do better if they had better guidance that might not be available to them at home.
I am in my 13th year in the hands of the Kirkwood School District, and I can confidently say that they are among the best in the country. The teachers are first rank, each school from elementary through high school is properly run, and the community feeling that you get in Kirkwood is like no other. People support each other and push each other to do their best. Each student has a chance to excel. Look at the test scores and you'll see the difference. Ask any student and you'll hear the same thing: Kirkwood is an amazing place to go to school, and it truly is like no other.
