Kettering School district is satisfactory. Bullying is still a major issue that Kettering schools have not taken more seriously. I would like to see the consequences for the bullies be more severe than what they are. The bullies get a slap on the wrist, while victim also gets a consequence; which isn’t right. This is why less people come forward in my school district; because people don’t bother to take the parents and students complaints seriously and treat the issue like it’s minute. Parents are only allowed vague information concerning the bullies consequences. The victim is left feeling like they have to keep detailed records on every actions the bullies do because the administration requires proof so that the bully will get a consequence. Students should be focused on learning, not if they are going to get hurt because administrators need hard evidence for every infraction. Bringing this topic up is hard, because no one wants to fix the actions happening at school.

I like the Kettering City School District because of all it has to offer. They have programs for everyone. From sports to art and music, Career Tech programs, student government- the teachers and staff encourage students to get involved and make a difference in the school and community. The district encourages students to use critical thinking skills and to develop relationships with people from all walks of life. Staff of this district teach more than just academics, they teach their students how to be well rounded and hard working citizens in society.
Kettering Fairmont High school had a diverse culture and population and it seemed that everyone was given equal opportunity to attend clubs, sports and pursue any future career goal that they had set for themselves. The teachers were very motivating when I was a student there and I did not ever feel like I could not ask for help if I needed it. I have nothing but the finest memories of being a Kettering Fairmont student and I am glad we moved to Kettering my sophomore year so I could be a graduate of this great school.
