Joshua Independent School District Reviews
Joshua is a very great school district with exponential resources for success. There will always be a ton of different high schools in the world, but this one will never quite be as peculiar as the others. Even though there may not as much as diversity as other peers would like, we all still do love eachother to the end! Being an owl is more than a label;it’s a way of life! Moving here at first was hard because the way people care about school is like nothing you’ve ever seen before. My grades went from C’s, C’s and B’s, A’s and B’s, and finally to all A’s. Never in a million years I would have ever thought to have such amazing grades, but without the amazing teachers, resources, and facilities I would have never made it to where I am now!
I have attended Joshua ISD for all 13 years of my school career. I have enjoyed the small town feel of this district and growing up with a tight group of friends. Joshua's school facilities are nice. They are not old or run-down like many schools. The academics are good but need to grow with the times. Surrounding districts that are larger offer a wider variety of classes with more paths to choose from to get you to where you want to be at graduation. There is not a lot of diversity in Joshua. It is mostly white and hispanic with a low number of other races. I have always felt safe in Joshua and give them high marks for providing their own police force, even though they are all older than I would like since I need someone young and spry to protect me if needed. Some of their rules and regulations are outdated and need to be updated to fit the changing times. I give Joshua ISD four out of five stars.
I chose attend Joshua High School over the school in my district, because of it dedication to discipline and high standards. It has been a great experience! There is ample opportunity for each student to further their scholastic careers and be successful.
