It's a very diverse school, and there's room for everyone! There are a lot of selections of classes that provide a lot of opportunities for each child individually. There are many AP classes, art classes, mathematics, and college opportunities. Jenks is a school that preps tremendously for college.
Jenks Public Schools have been going downhill for the past decade. At this point the quality is sub-par, and the teachers are more political than interested in teaching & connecting with students. With Covid in 2020-21, and still repercussions in 2021-22 Jenks dropped the ball on many students. I’m talking about fairly smart students who before this trauma never failed a class in their life. Jenks school administrators , especially at the high school level did not implement any concrete strategy to help these students recover academically. Just giving extra days for homework did not solve the problem of missed classroom instruction. I could never recommend Jenks over Bixby or Broken Arrow schools. It’s all hype!!
Jenks Public Schools is a district that heavily focuses on their football/ sports programs. While I am sure they objectively want to be a highly academic school, it seems the focus is mainly on sports. The campuses and buildings are very nice, and they continuously add and renovate the schools which is great.
