Jenkintown School District Reviews
Jenkintown is one of the best schools in the state and also smaller then a lot of private schools. The small atmosphere makes a competitive and friendly environment. The education is great with small numbers in each class. Most teachers dream of weorking at a school like this. There are great traditions which the school is built on. Pretty much anyone can play whatever sport since of the small numbers, and with all of the talented students we do very well at sports. It's a great environment to be in and I hope people would get to experience a school like Jenkintown!
Simply put, Jenkintown is a really good high school. What it lacks in size, it makes up for in academics. It is true that Jenkintown is small (180 kids in the entire high school), but it offers a lot for a school its size. Though the AP selection isn't the largest, scores are always high. The teachers really do care about the students-they want us to succeed-and because of small class sizes, they really cater to you if you give them the same effort and respect. Socially, it is a little cliquey, but bullying and disciplinary issues are unheard of here. Diversity has long been an issue, but recently many families of different ethnic and economic backgrounds have moved here for the school, and I think it has made the community even stronger. We even do well in sports for being the second smallest school in the state.
I liked how small it was. I came from a larger school so I appreciated this very much. I liked how teachers cared about you personally and academically. They want the best for you. They are there for you anytime.
