The Jasper City School district honestly cares for their students but just like all schools, there are some bad staff. Most are extremely passionate about their job and want to see the kids succeed. I’ve personally had a few run ins with some teachers that only pay attention to certain students. This leads to the other students falling behind. However, that is just a handful of teachers and the rest are compassionate. Overall it is a great school system.
Jasper is a growing school system that is promising. Many students from its art department are moving into excellent and high achieving programs like the million dollar band. It’s academics are also good with the exception of one or two teachers in the highschool.
I love the academic excellence and the amazing teachers in the Jasper City School system. As a student in the Jasper City School system it is very important to me to be in an environment where I am surrounded by amazing teachers and administrators that care about every single person and their success in school and after school. If I had to change one thing I would change how strict the administration is on pep rallies. School spirit is very important to me as well. It is one of the many fun and exciting activities about high school. Students look forward to celebrating with their peers during a pep rally. Cutting pep rally times takes away some of our fun and school spirit.
