Most of the teachers were really nice and understood students' struggles, while others were inconsiderate and rude when it came to race and home situations. I enjoyed all of the schools I attended, for the most part, there are a lot of opportunities for students of color to feel included. This is nice and a way to help close the achievement gap between the students and it is a way of making students of color feel more accepted. When I participated it could have been better and integrated into the school more like the other clubs. Overall, I would say that the Janesville School District needs to work on accepting students of color and making them feel like they belong in school.

I have been impressed with the district's gifted and talented magnet program. Both of my children were accepted into the program in third grade. They were afforded the opportunity to experience things the general curriculm did not offer. Some these opportunites included: Lego Robotics competitions, Space Camp, and Bix Town.
We have had the best experience with this school district. My kids have attended elementary, middle and high school here. They are above levels In reading and are excelling in all other area. My kids in middle school and high school are still friends and are connected to thier previous principals and teachers! Amazing!! The staff go above and beyond to connect with thier students and really make sure they are college ready from day 1!
