About
Enrolling
Jackson Local School District is a high-performing district ranked among the top 5% of Ohio high schools, according to media rankings. Half of our buildings are recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as Blue Ribbon Schools. Niche consistently ranks us as one of the best academic districts in Ohio and our high school has been ranked No. 3 in Ohio for student-athletes. We have two schools within our high school: the Jackson Academy for Global Studies and the Jackson School for the Arts. We offer 25 AP courses and the majority of our students score a 3 or higher on AP exams. We offer a robust College Credit Plus program that has saved our students about $1.6 million in tuition costs, about three times the savings as the next-closest district in Stark County. Many Jackson students take advantage of CCP courses taught on Jackson's campus with paths that can lead to associate's degrees in arts and sciences before high school graduation.
