Jackson County Schools Reviews

I moved here in 4th grade and had the most amazing teacher- she made my start to Jackson County schools postive and encouraging. I’m sad to say; however, that as I continued my educational career, it got worse and worse. Teachers were boarderline abusive, I felt unseen, and overall I felt Jackson was in one word- incompetent. Being In the top 10 percent of my class, 4.0 unweighted GPA, is quite the blessing considering I feel as though I was alone for most of the time. I gave three stars instead of two, because there have been some truly great people in the system and I didn’t want to disregard the wonderful work they do.

I cannot recall anything worth mentioning of my experience in middle or elementary school, but my time spent at the Jackson County Early College has been amazing!
I am currently new to this area and enrolled as a junior in a Jackson County school. So far my experience with this school is a good experience, the facilities are nice and the teachers are very helpful. I believe this a really good school system and I recommend it to everyone else who is looking at schools in the western part of North Carolina.
