I have attended Jackson County Schools since I was in Pre-K. What I would brag most about would have to be the teachers. The teachers I have had in Sneads and Grand Ridge Schools have been phenomenal. They not only care about the education of the students they teach but also truly care about the emotional and physical well being of each and every student.
I suppose the thing I would like to see change in Jackson County Schools system would be that I would like to see the county devote more money to the smaller schools in the county. There was just a new K-8 school built in the larger town in the county this year. And there was a new High School built in the same town approx 7 years ago but the smaller towns have much older schools.

I as a senior have pretty much done everything my school offers, I am in all of the clubs and sports teams. The people are amazing and they are doing the best they can do with what they have, but frankly they are not given much to work with. I have enjoyed my time here but I cannot help but to think that my math and science is behind the students of other schools.
The Jackson county schools is just an average school system. However, the super intendant is great! The only reason the schools of Jackson county are not thriving more is because it is a very rural county with not much room for growth.
