overall, this school district is quite small I would say this comes in handy when there are fewer students in the class and they get more one on one time with the teachers. Most of the time the teachers are there for the student and will offer them any resource they need. Because we are very small most of our staff and students are very close which makes it that much easier when needing help with an assignment. In regard to college readiness, we have a class especially made to get students ready here we prepare for the SAT and the ACT as well as for how to apply for scholarships and applying to colleges and the whole process. Needless to say, the Jacksboro independent school district values its students and there to give them resources to make a change not only in their future but in the community as well.
Jacksboro ISD is a small town high school rich in tradition and high standards. It is a school with a safe learning environment with low teacher to student ratios. Students excel in academics, athletics, ag, and FCCLA.
Jacksboro has a very good school district with outstanding faculty. The teachers and staff truly care about the children and that they are prepared for the future. The community is supportive like no other. I am ecstatic that my children get to grow up in a town with such rich traditions and history. Jacksboro is a wonderful place to live, attend school and raise children.
