Isle Public School District Reviews
I like the personal connection you can get with your teachers and classmates. This is something you can only receive in a small school, and especially a small town, such as Isle. It allows your education to go to the next level.
Many students fail, refuse, to perform. Many arrive at kindergarten totally blank slates...A FAILURE OF PARENTING. State testing reveals a situation of sub par achievement at all grade levels. The gap at grade one grows with each year. Blaming/finger pointing have had no impact; racial differences and economics of the home get the most blame. SOLUTION: CREATE AN ACADEMIC ENVIRONMENT. REWARD STUDENTS AND TEACHERS FOR EXCELLENCE.
This place is the best place to go. Yeah, there are a few flaws, but everyone here is nice and encouraging.
This is a small town school that's made some positive changes in recent years. There's a new principal with a big focus on post-secondary education. There's a full time liaison teacher focused solely on the Natvie American students in the district. Their staff is excellent, with as strong emphasis on caring for the whole student and advancing curriculum to include iPad 1:1 initative. Many kids take advantage of online college courses and their in-house advisor is amazing! The district just passed a referendum that should help the school continue strong program offerings.
